Free download fsx pss dash 8 gps Files at Software Informer. This tool allows you to demultiplex (split) a PSS movie file into it's component MPEG2 Video and WAV Audio streams, and multiplex (join) an MPEG2 Video and WAV Audio stream into a PSS movie file. The author wrote this tool with DVD.
Hi from Germany I´m using the PSS Dash8 in FS2004 with ISG Gauges. The Main Problem is, the PSS gauge are included in big Bitmaps.
You can only overlay them with a new (ISG1gauge). The effect is that the 2 gauges at the same position are flickering. This is in every window where you use the ISG1 gauge. The Lnav and Vnav mode seems to work.
I concur with the previous poster: Currently there is no turboprop simulation for FSX which rivals PMDG's excellent product. The freeware variation is. Well, unfortunately I think it is below average, even for FS9 freeware standards. Before I learned about decent payware models, I got scarred by the unrealistic flight models of those aircraft. The Twin Otter being especially atrocious (Flaps down one notch, nose goes up 90 degrees - really?!?).
The homepage is also highly confusing to me: I always had trouble finding the right downloads and corresponding updates. About the Majecstic Dash: For a lot of money you get a really good and deep system simulation with visuals rivalling of a FS2002 freeware aircraft. The virtual cockpit was comparable to that of the PSS Dash8 but they may have improved it after I last checked. IIRC there are no navdata updates so you are stuck with flying using outdated FMS data.
I also remember that switching between VC and no-VC models required a reinstall, the load manager was quite basic. In a time when PMDG and others already implemented complex and useful configuration programs, the Majestic equivalent was sorely lacking. You may also want to check out their forums and check out the tone in there before purchasing. They may have improved, but a few years ago (when their Dash came out) the moderators were acting like a bunch or arrogant twats, showing lots of disrespect and condescending behaviour towards their customers. To sum it up, if you like really comprehensive simulations, don't care for visuals and don't mind being left alone with setup problems, the Majestic Dash may be for you. If you prefer good simulation AND good visuals, as well as excellent customer support then PMDG would be preferable.
Yeah I kinda choked when I saw the price of the Majestic one. Especially for what looks like a FS9 model/VC. So I've scrapped that idea, will most likely run with the PMDG JS41 until they get their Dash up. I can't of course say for you, but after reading this thread and doing some checking I purchased the E 49.99 Majestic Dash 8 and am very happy. I ran the systems and manual past Helene Young. Helene has just written the first book in a romantic suspense series.
BORDER PROTECTION. The heroine, Morgan is a Captain on the Dash 8/ 300 with a fictional Border Protection agency. Helene is a senior Check and Training Captain for QANTASLINK, on the 300 and based in Cairns. She tells me the manuals, checklist and flight model are spot on.

You can update the FMC data. Download the Wilco 737 file form Navigraph, unzip it, place it in your Majestic Dash 8 FMC folder in FSX and run the program in the folder, it will convwert the database file to a format the Dash 8 FMC will be able to use.
You can also connect an instructor station screen, and fault a lot of components FSX won't. There are two editions. The Pilot edition (49 euros, which I have) and the Pro edition (99 euros but with every system modelled.
I too have the majestic dash 8, it is actually an fs9 import, but doesnt have any graphic anomalies, Thre are some font issues with the gauges but they work ok. I have flown in many dash 8 for work as a passenger and it certainly sounds and behaves like one. The FMS is simple but it does the job. I am having engine start issues at the moment, i dont believe its the plane im sure its something else as i have had no problems in the past, but just did a fresh install not long ago, in fact it may be as simple as a fsuipc calibration issue for the throttle. It does have arealistic start up. Sounds cool when you first do it.
Oooh, look what showed up in my hangar this week? Pic taken during the tutorial flight, so crappy default US scenery I'm afraid.
The scenery I could (just!) put up with, but that truly awful PMDG paint job had to go, so the flying kangaroo has stepped up. Gonna do some East coast runs in Aus with the lovely Brindabella Airlines repaint for some proper pics. Thanks for those who recommended this plane, I'm loving it so much. It's a really lovely plane to fly, about as big as I still find enjoyable and wonderfully complex to set up right.
Can't wait to see what they can do with the DHC8 Q300! PS - I've only cooked the engines twice so far.
